After about 30 miles my 95 Ram 1500 5.9L 360 is falling on its face and backfiring under a load, idle is poor but its not stalling. Also I have been having to crank it more and more to get it to start. Earlier today I started messing with it to try and find the problem after 30 minutes of driving back and fourth on the highway to get it to act up.
and here is what I have so far...
I swapped the TPS with a used one, no change, when the TPS is unplugged it ran better, but not consistently.
MAF sensor unplugged it would hardly run at all.
IAC unplugged it would run same as before, but had a high idle.
There is no Crank sensor on this truck, however, there is a cam sensor in the distributor, I am assuming this is what controls advance.
The plugs are a light brown like its not burning hot enough, and the backfire is through the intake...
